| The 4th Annual Polar Bear Plunge is set to introduce nearly 2,000 plungers to the icy waters of Lake Calhoun. The Polar Bear Plunge put on by Minnesota Law Enforcement raises money for the Special Olympics Minnesota. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised from the event. Entertainment and a vendor village will anchor Thomas Beach. Interested in taking the plunge yourself (or supporting the Special Olympics)? Sign up or donate by visiting their website. The event is free to watch. Shuttles will be provided from the core of Uptown and West Calhoun to the event site. 9am - 2pm. |
