Fresh ingredients assembled before your eyes, 800 degrees Fahrenheit, and 90 seconds in a wood-fired oven gives you a pizza from Punch Neapolitan Pizza. Opened in 1996 in St. Paul by a life-long pizza lover, John Sorrano, Punch Neapolitan Pizza quickly became a hit. In 2001, John Puckett of Caribou Coffee fame partnered with Sorrano and they soon opened their West Calhoun location. Since then, the pizzeria has opened several other metro locations.
An outdoor patio with flower boxes and umbrella cover creates an enjoyable outdoor dining experience, despite its location next to the restaurant's parking lot. In winter, an outdoor fire often greets visitors. Inside, the open kitchen and large wood-fired oven entertains patrons as they wait for their pizzas.
The restaurant is located on the eastern side of the Calhoun Village shopping center. Ample off-street parking is available at the center, located on each side of the shopping center or behind the eastern side. Routes 12 and 17 provide regular service in the area. Direct bike access is provided to the Midtown Greenway, between the Kennilworth trail and Dean Parkway. |
