Il Gatto

Fresh seafood, wood oven pizzas, filled pastas, and much more make Il Gatto a great place for fulfilling your Italian tastes. Il Gatto replaced Figlio in fall 2009 after Figlio had a 25-year run. Parasole Restaurant Holdings, creators of other Uptown restaurants Chino Latino and Burger Jones, also created and ran Figlio until they decided to tweak the concept and change the name to Il Gatto. Many of Figlio's classic flavors are still there, including the thick, charred pepperoni pizza. The wood-fired pizza oven has over 25 years of seasoning and continues to turn out flavorful dishes daily. Il Gatto has an extensive wine list and great house-made bread.

Il Gatto is located in Calhoun Square, accessible off of the Lake Street/Hennepin entrance. The restaurant faces Lake Street.

Parking: Off-street parking is available in the Calhoun Square parking ramp, accessed off of Girard Avenue at Lake Street or 31st Street. On-street metered parking is available on Lake Street, Hennepin Avenue, and Girard Avenue.

Transit: Bus route 6, 12, 17, 21, 23, and 53 provide regular service in the area.
