RedLureRed Closes
After a relatively short stay, the modern furniture store
RedLureRed closed its doors. The space, next to City Image Salon at the
corner of 31st and Hennepin, once housed a bike store.

Golden Leaf Moving Across Street
Whitney Annex recently closed, leaving the space next to Magers
and Quinn available. Golden Leaf, currently in Calhoun Square, announced
its move recently. Calhoun Square's redevelopment plans would displace
Golden Leaf at least temporarily during construction.

American Eagle Set to Open
Hennepin-Lake Store
Replacing the large, vacant Pier One space is the trendy clothing
store, American Eagle.
Amore Victoria Offers its
Italian Cuisine to Uptown
Uptown's latest restaurant, Amore Victoria opened
recently in Giorgio's (1601 W. Lake) old space. The restaurant offers
fresh fish, pasta, pizza, steak, veal, and more - in a lively, yet
intimate setting.
Lucia's Creates New Concept:
Deli & Bakery
Opened just recently next to their current location,
Lucia's Bakery & Take Home brings Uptown baked goods and a deli selection.

Paper Source Opens in Former
Morris and Christie's Space
After a van crashed into their
building, Paper Source will reopen seven blocks south at the corner of
Hennepin Avenue and 31st Street. Beginning in mid-May construction crews
ripped out what remained of the previous convenience store, Morris and
Christie's, to make way for a renovation of the space. New floors,
windows, and walls make up the most visible changes occurring. Paper
Source opened July 23rd. A staff member said the store would offer classes
in a basement classroom space in the future.
Paper Source sells a variety of specialty
and handmade papers. The company has 16 stores in six states, with the
Minneapolis location the only in Minnesota.
Tidbits Boutique Moves to Uptown
Moving from Lyn-Lake to 2833 Hennepin, Tidbits Boutique will replace
the tye-dye shop Colorburst. Tidbits offers stylish home accessories. |
